Mk3 Focus Central locking key issue

Featured Replies

Hi all - new member with an issue here - hoping you can help.......

(Don't know why I haven't joined before - I've had fords all my life! 😄)

I have recently bought a 2011 mk3 focus 1.6tdci. Long story short - it only came with one key which was held together with tape and had no battery in - doors lock and open fine on the key.

I have replaced the key housing and put in a battery, but the remote isn't working properly 🙄.

Its wierd - the "open" button doesn't do anything - the "lock" button unlocks all of the doors - and the "boot open" button unlocks the doors twice in close succession - "click click".

No related fault codes on Forscan...... and i'm scratching my head - anyone got any suggestions please??🤔
