Sync radio knackered

Featured Replies

I have had problems on and off with Ford sync no audio. Managed to fix it few times taking fuse out now doesn’t work at all. I took it to Ford who tried an update but still not working I need a new unit. So Ford charged me £228 to tell me it knackered and want £364 for new unit plus the cost fixing. I was wondering if anyone has changed unit themselves ( I removed it to get part number) I was thinking of buying second hand one, is it just a case of plugging it in or would it need some kind of update or setting up from Ford

You can get them on ebay for £100 ish or £200 if you want a sat nav/dab unit.

They're all plug and play provided you get one that has the same features as yours (dab, sat nav, reversing sensors etc.). Even if you do need to program it, you can do it with Forscan on a laptop.
