Fiesta Mk8 ST tyres

Featured Replies

Hi guys,   the factory fitted tyre size is  205/40 x 18,  the tyres are stretched to fit the   7,5   rims.  It is possible to put 225 / 35 x 18's on the same rim,  this is a totally safe and acceptable tyre size for this rim and the rolling radius is only out by  .1  of an inch.  Anybody  done it  ?,  the tyre sidewall would be square with the rim edge but I ponder fouling  maybe on full lock,  or summat I haven't spotted.  Other than that,  who's tried tyres that aren't  Michelin OE  ?,  I presently  have Pirrelli Sottozero winter's on.  Thank-you  in anticipation.
