Just taken delivery of a Fiesta 1.1 vct Zetec which so far seems a great little car.  However I have some noise that comes from the transmission at low speeds in low gears when on the overun (like a shushing noise) at speeds above 30 not so noticeable, but when driving slowly around a housing estate you hear it then.  Is this just an idiosyncracy of these cars - I havent driven this model before ?

I had a bearing replacement on my 1.1 2018 which caused a humming sound in 1st and 2nd gear.

It turns out that the resolution was the gearbox output shaft bearing was noisy which was replaced under warranty as there was no other damage. The sound was only noticeable below 35 mph really but on a smooth road at say 25 off throttle it was really significant.

Hi I have a Ford Fiesta 2018 . I have a hear 

gear box whine the last few weeks I went to my friends garage he said it’s the gear box  told me to take it back to my ford dealer as it’s still under warranty. It’s fine 28 k miles can anyone advice Fords are looking at it on 18 th of this month is it a known fault
