Tyre size

Featured Replies

Hello, has anyone here used a 205-55-16 tyre on a MK7 Fiesta?

You'll need your speedo adjusting as you're affecting the circumference of the wheel.

Just stick to the tyres designed for the wheel, there's a reason they only use one size.

Hello and Welcome to the forum.

Standard size for the mk7 is 195/50 16. 205/55 16 is both wider and taller with higher profile. If you want wider tyres, you should lower the profile. You want to get a tyre with the closest match to the outside diameter of standard tyre to keep you speedo and milometer correct.

There are plenty of tyre size comparison sites if you don't want he standard size. Like this one: https://tiresize.com/comparison/  215/45 16 a looks good match, but you may need wider wheels to fit them onto.
