Hello all

We need a new wheel for our MK7, too many potholes and a couple of unfortunate incidents (not me honest) saw Ford give it a red mark on thier 'health check' report.

Apparently we have bent the inner rim of the wheel!

We have been quoted £170.00 for the wheel (unsure if that includes fitting)

Any thoughts on this.

    Ford Parts UK is where I got mine, I did the same, but the clue was that the tyre rapidly lost air!

    Took the car to a local tyre centre and he inspected our wheel.

    All that could be seen was a slight flat spot. The chap looked quite amused when I told him Ford MK had given it a red mark, and said "Every car in Milton Keynes has slight damage to its wheels"

    Needless to say, I'm keeping the wheel.

    £131.74 including VAT! Quite a difference from £170!

    don't forget a tyre on that too!

    We are using a part worn spare that we picked up over the year and a half we have owned it.

    Does the job perfectly.
