Fiesta MK 8 Rear lights on with DRL’S

Featured Replies

Had a little play with Forscan earlier today, and I managed to enable the rear lamps to come on with the daytime running lights.

If you wish to do the same you’ll need to modify 2 As Built configurations, on in the IPC, and one in the BCM.

Note, all alterations are at your own risk, make sure you save your current configuration before you continue, as I take no responsibility should something go wrong.

In the As Built BCM configuration you need to modify:

720-02-01 xx(6)x xxxx xxxx The bracketed value is where you need to make your change, and you need to add 4 to the current value quoted at that position. Mine was 2, hence the value is now 6. This change will give you and option in the lighting menu in vehicle settings to turn the daytime running lights on or off.

In the As Built BCM configuration you need to modify

726-11-04 xxxx xxx(5) xxxx The bracketed value again is where you need to make your Chang, and you need to 4 to the current value at that position. Mine was 1, and so was changed to 5. This will enable the tail lights to come on with the daytime running lights.

Hope you find this useful if you wish to carry out this modification.
