Car horn sounds rubbish

Featured Replies

Hi,

I've just bought a brand new Vignale and am very happy with but the horn sounds rubbish. It sounds like a car horn from an '80's Fiesta so I rang the dealership on the way home and they said it was the same on all the cars now which I find hard to believe.

Has anyone else had this or do I need to get them to look at it?

Thanks

I've got a 2019 Fiesta ST-Line and the horn sounds pretty good.

The one on my previous 2016 Fiesta sounded more like a kids toy car, I was almost too ashamed to use it. 🙂

I'm going to go back to the dealership on Monday and see what they say. I traded in an 18 plate titanium and the horn was way better as well as the MK7 15 plate I had before.

🤪 - this threads made my day - a ‘rubbish’ sounding horn 😂

I’d go straight in for a full refund

Bet you it still sounds better than what I started with LOL

mk8 fiesta has two types of horns used actually , a singly tone horn and a dual tone horn , here in Egypt only the titanium has the dual tone horn, other categories have the single tone one , including mine 😄 , which is terrible any way 😄  😄

It's just got the high tone single horn, sounds like a Noddy car but that's the way it is from factory. You either have to put up with it or fit a dual tone horn with hi & lo outputs. The focus is the same, it's not something to go back to the dealer about imo.

Probably pick up a used dual tone one on eBay for under £20

Just shout 'beep' whenever necessary...  Probably more effective than the single tone horn.

What about a Bell ? Halfords could fit one while you wait 🤣
