Front Lights On When I Brake

Featured Replies

I would say it definitely is.

The two normal brake lights go through C50 [the blue one] and the high level through C48 [the Gray one] I think.

Just to confirm this, when you disconnected the grey one do the cluster brake lights work OK?

Grey plug is disconnected, I have cluster brake lights......

I undid the rubber that goes from roof to tailgate, there are two broken and melted wires in there, a green with yellow stripe which I think is high level brake light and green with blue stripe which I think is heated rear screen....

So I believe problem is solved!!!!

The grey multiplug is isolating the tailgate wiring then is that right...

That being the case im ok to drive and visit either ford or scrappy to try and aquire a new loom for rear.

Roger cant THANK YOU enough your help has been brilliant and has kept me sane lol, also saved me a fortune with calling out an auto electrician.

Glad to have been some help.

BTW, the green with yellow stripe is the high level brake light.

My circuit diagram says that both the rear wiper and heated rear screen are Green Blue.

Roger
