Zetec S cold start Idle

Featured Replies

Hi all first post here,

I have a Mk7 2011 Zetec S 1.6L Petrol. Is it just me or is it normal on cold starts for the revs to be around 1200rpm for a good 3-4 minutes? But then it seems to settle straight down to around 800rpm after a minute or two of steady driving. I would even say this happens after leaving the car for just a few hours!

If anyone could let me know that would great,

Thanks!

yeh seems normal on cold starts...my 2012 zetec s does it too 🙂
