Poor mpg

Featured Replies

So last year we purchased our first ever Ford Galaxy infact our first ever Ford car. We bought a 2011 1.6 TDCI Titanium with the duratorq engine.

Not long after getting it we noticed it was acting weird shaking etc especially when cold. Took it to a diesel injector specialist who said the injectors needed replacing. So over a grand later and a full service, oil and filter change, air filter, fuel filter, pollen filter. New glow plugs, and now it runs much better. However no matter how we drive it, town, motorway etc we can't seem to get much above 30mpg from it. Is this normal? As it's a 1.6 and a large heavy car. Or is there something wrong still with it? If so any pointers on what it could be causing such poor fuel consumption.

Thanks in advance any advice or replies will be greatly appreciated.
