Transit 350 2.4 2001 won't start

Hello, I have a 2001 Transit 2.4 that ran out of diesel and I'm unable to start it. I've tried all techniques of bleeding it but to no avail. I tried a little easy start and it fired up on that btu wouldn't keep going. I loosened the injector pipes and fired it up again on the easy start and diesel was coming through fiercely. 

Anyone who can help would be much appreciated.
