My Fiesta Is Revving Too High

Featured Replies

First off, Hello, Ive been viewing this site for a while but only joined today.

Now my problem, I hope you can help

I drive a Mk6 1.4 TDCI fiesta and the other night coming up the road I thought the car was revving too high. I was doing 60 in 5th and the car was revving 2250 rpm. I thought this was high. The next day same as revving high in every gear just a bit so you would notice.

There doesnt seem to be any slipping of the clutch, I put it in 3rd with the handbrake on and let it off and it stalled.

Anybody got any ideas, I cant find anything on the net about it.

Cheers

Anybody?

all i can say is nothing seems wrong, i've got the same car as you and mine revs round that when doing 60mph. also pull away in first gear with the handbrake on, it'll overpower the handbrake and start pulling the car forward if the clutch is good.
