CollumPlz
The cigerette lighter connector has two wires, one black, one orange/yellow.. I don't want to assume but I think the orange and yellow is positive.. Any ideas? The reason is I am piggybacking another fuse so that the lighter port doesn't stay on after engine is off.. cjay1
Lighter port can be set to turn off after between zero seconds to infinity using forscan the setting you want is "battery saver" I've set mine to 10 minutes

cjay1
Not sure on that age of car. For cars not controlled that way the lighter port is usually ignition controlled to prevent flat batteries when something is left plugged in.
TomsFocus
Best bet is to check it with a multimeter.
