*** 2021 Fiesta “Owner Driver Pack”

Featured Replies

Hi all

Having purchased a new Fiesta on the 13th March this year, I’ve just got round to checking what I received in the “owner drivers pack” and what it should contain?

I’ve got the following:

* Fiesta Supplemental Owner’s Guide

Note:  Not the full complete owner’s guide which I believe can be downloaded from the Ford UK website!

* Service Portfolio

Note:  I’ve not purchased a new Ford Fiesta since early 2015 so, not quite sure what you get in the “owners pack” these days?  The “Service Portfolio” which I thought was the “Service Booklet”, does not have any pages in which to enter the details of services, dealer stamp and signature?

That’s it?

I’ve bought many new Ford vehicles, mostly Fiestas and you always get a Ford Wallet to keep the owners guide, service booklet and any other Ford documentation in!

Before I contact my Ford dealership to query this, can any member who has recently purchased a 2021 Fiesta, confirm what the “Owner Driver’s” Pack should contain?

That's all I got as well.  My 2021 Focus Vignale didn't come with a case to put the books in.  The cheap cloth cases were bad enough but it seems you don't even get one of those now.

VW are still supplying a lovely leather case...

Oh, I did also get a tiny fold out pamphlet for the Sync... :laugh:

That's it now, all fords come with that basic pack. The service booklet you stamped stopped around late 2019

Everything is stored electronically with the dealer plus all manuals and guides are available through the Ford app. Does save on tatty wallets and other junk cluttering the glove box up not to mention messing around getting booklets stamped after service etc.

If anyone is insistent on having the wallet etc, just buy one for a few quid from Ebay.

No one read the full manuals anyway in the wallet in there car. . You can tell that from the posts on this forum.😂😂

Without the service book/stamp, what happens if getting serviced at a non-Ford/independent garage in terms of evidencing that - just keep hold of the paperwork?

Dealers are no longer allowed to pass on paperwork to a new owner due to GDPR data protection laws.  So unless you intend to sell privately there's no point keeping indy service receipts past the warranty period.

Ah OK, good old gdpr. So in terms of handing the car back to Ford (pcp) you show them the service history and thats it?

We don't have our Focus maintained by Ford and keep the service records and receipts but we also have the service book stamped / signed and dated and it all fits in a nice Ford case along with the manual and SYNC guide 👍

Books won't be stamped and have nice Ford cases to put them in much longer. The Mrs new car last December didn't come supplied with either. Anything done by the main dealer or Ford dealer is stored electronically now and was told if we get anything such as servicing done elsewhere we must keep the receipts as evidence of when and who performed the work for them to inspect come renewal time.

Books and wallets seem to be a thing of yesteryear now, the user manual is now a downloadable PDF or available through the Ford app.

Yeah, that's all you can do.  Tbh with 2 yearly servicing now, you may as well just have it done at the MD who will update the electronic service record which shows up on Ford systems and FordPass.  They won't be interested in anything outside of Fords normal service schedule if you have 'intermediate' oil changes or anything.

They can still pass it on, but all personal info of the previous owner has to be removed.

My dad traded in his old car and they had a stamp looking tool to remove all the personal info.

Some dealers are probably too lazy and just destroy it or don't accept it though.

The irony was that his new car still had the sat nav home address of the previous owner. :laugh:

This seems to be the case with the ones I and family members have used recently. :sad:

I do redact all of my paperwork to pass on, have done for a few years now.
