Fiesta Mk6 Engine Conversion? Which Engine?

Featured Replies

Hello, ive got a fiesta mark 6 1.4 zetec and i am deciding what engine to drop into it. im thinking a 2 litre either from a slightly older ford (blacktop) or a duratec engine from a newer ford.

are the looms 100% compatable so i could just change the ecu and the engine and the coded key would still work or would i need the key aswell? or possibly fitting a whole new loom?

i have a 1.4 duratec engine at the moment.

just really need to know what would need to be changed over to swap the engine!

thanks!

andy

I'm thinking of doing the same thing mate I'm not sure about the looms you will need but I have some ideas for you like:

an ST turbo/supercharged

a mk1 FRS engine

a Cosworth if your feeling brave and have the money and time to spend on it

2.0 ST surely, straight swap?

Turbo/supercharge kits are a few thousand a pop

mk1 rs conversion involved modding slam panels etc to fit

2.0L straight swap would be your easiest bet!

But a question i may ask is why dont you just get an ST?
