Fiesta Mk6 Will not start after battery drain

Featured Replies

Urgently looking for some advice please. 08 1.6L Diesel Fiesta. My partner left sidelights on overnight. In the morning lights still on - go to start engine and get clicking from starter motor. Presumed drained battery so jump started with other vehicle. Now on turning the key nothing. No clicking, nothing. Dash lights up - radio on, lights and windows fully working

So far we have tried

- All fuses in glovebox checked

- Relays in glovebox checked

- Battery change

- Tapping back of starter motor

- 40 amp fuse for AC in engine bay noted blown so changed

- Recoding key to the car

- Snapon reader -> Immobilser codes and some engine codes cleared to no effect.

My thoughts are that the jump starting has caused an electrical fault but I don’t know where to look next. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

"Presumed drained battery so jump started with other vehicle."  Was the jump start successful and it has not worked since?  If the jump start was not successful, it may be that has caused your fault.  Can you do a "Self Test" with the dash ?
