Unidentified wires / harness / plug / connectors

Featured Replies

I took my instrument cluster and steering wheel facia off so I could wire some gadgets in my car [1.4 Mk3 Fiesta Freestyle K Reg].

Whilst there, I found (in the area under the steering wheel, along side the stereo wiring) a set of wires and an unplugged connector. I have looked at ford's wiring diagram and can't see anything that matches it and it looks as though there's nowhere for it to connect anyway! Anybody got a clue what it's for? I can't seem to follow it to anything without having to take the entire dash out.

Perhaps an aftermarket install? Seems unlikely as it looks like it's Ford's style. I'm perplexed. My car doesn't have much going on in terms of electrics so it's very confusing.

I would really appreciate someone's thoughts.

Thanks,

Rosie 🤯

Power connector for optional features. Electric windows and Power sunroof.

Thanks Dan, my car doesn't have a sun roof or electric windows but I know it's an option to add them after so it makes sense. I have these two things that need identifying too if you wouldn't mind...?

Picture 1&2 is of two red wires and a connector (there seems to be nothing to plug them into), they've been pulled from a wiring loom behind the stereo (but have nothing to do with the stereo, all of the stereo wires are present and correct).

Picture 3&4 is under the bonnet near the passenger side headlight. Not sure what it is.

Thanks again,

Rosie
