Thank you for the information.

Lpg systems have been developed since then a lot.

Many istallers are experienced and more than capable to properly install and adjust the system.

Prins is considered to produce and to provide high quality systems.

When it is installed and tested the result shall be reported.

Let us wish that everything will be fine.

Wouldn't worry about hearsay statements, most will emanate from folk who have never run an LPG car in their lives LOL Looking forward to reading about your eventual installing and successful running of your car....

I have had two LPG vehicles. Both we’re Ford factory installed systems. This was on the Ford Falcons. They we’re dedicated LPG systems, not ‘duel fuel’.

Although they were not converted afterwards but they had lpg systems from manufacturing.

Still they had lpg systems and were fine.

Lpg system installation is complete.
Tested it and the result is very satisfying.
It also uses 5 per cent petroil.
The lpg system is prins vsi 2.
Up until now no issues.

Well done, enjoy your half price fuel... 👍

Price is about 40%.

Plus the 5% petroil that is injected.

The fuel pump is making more noise when it is not moving.

There is only one problem.

It needs to be reprogrammed because the high pressure pump dowsnt not work well. Perhaps it smells like petroil in the cabin from there.

This reprogramming should have been done by the people that installed the LPG system, unfortunately, wouldn't give me much confidence in the installation knowing that they omitted such a basic procedure...

It is considered to be a common issue on focus.

The installer is not responsible. The manufacturer is responsible for this.

Sorry buddy, it is the installers fault! At the very least, they should be not charging any extra for their incompetence...

This is my local LPG conversion installer, and I know quite a few people that have used them. I can assure you 100% that they send out a car that absolutely works and no further intervention is needed.

No extra charge. Prins doesnt not allow them as far as i know to make any settings on the programm. That is why it is not the installers fault.

1. High petroil consumption (12E on 50E lpg).

2. Petroil smell inside the cabin (some times).

3.The high pressure pump makes a strange noise.

The high pressure fuel pump has an integrated PCM controlled flow regulator (not a pressure regulator) that regulates the amount of fuel.  Being engine (camshaft) driven the high pressure fuel pump will generate a constant high fuel pressure when the engine is running. When converted to LPG the high pressure fuel pump is constantly pressurizing the fuel system while trying to regulate the programmed (expected) fuel flow. Since there is (almost) no demand for Petrol the high pressure fuel pump cannot release its flow and pressure and will suffer from excessive stress.

This is what is causing the strange noise of the high pressure fuel pump and will eventually cause the high pressure fuel pump to fail prematurely.

I highly doubt that Ford is willing to get involved in a problem that was introduced after an LPG conversion.

Absolutely correct,Ford will want nothing to do with the conversion. It is not an approved Ford part.I had the same issue on my GT Mustang, fitted a Harrop engine oil cooler, one of the oil lines broke, it was taken to a Ford dealer who would not touch it,they diagnosed it correctly. The company that installed it, put  it on a flat bed truck & took it back to their workshop & repaired the oil lines with new braided ones, all @ their expense.

I ment the manufacturer of the lpg system not ford. Of course ford has nothing to do with it.

You can 'edit' an existing post, no need to post a new one...

A new program/map was installed on the lpg system. I shall report the result.

Finally after almost three months of issues the system was uninstalled.
Prins vsi ii unfortunately does not allow adjustment. Total failure. The turbo needs to be changed, the interior of the high pressure pump was also changed.
Prefer configurable systems.
Turbo change costs about 800E.

Oh dear, there's bound to be an, 'I told you so...' along shortly. An expensive experiment!

Would that ever be cost effective ?

OK, just for Stephen....... 'I told you so' 🤣

Actually it was more a case I just doubted if the OP would ever get his money back on such a venture. 🤔

There is a clue that it was not entirely the lpg system's fault for the issue.

It is possible that it is a turbo or the fuel's system malfunction.

The petroil smell issue was because of evaporative emission canister.

Changed it and it is fine. No petroil smell anymore.

The check engine problem was because of low turbo pressure.

The technician fixed it and it is fine.

No check engine light.

It is very possible to install the lpg system again.

Prefer lpg systems that can be adjusted after the installation.

The three basic things about lpg conversion.

The lpg system (should be adjustable, quality)

The installer.

The adjustement.
