2010 ford fiesta mk7 zetec s spongy brakes

Featured Replies

Recently bought a ford fiesta mk7 zetec s and the brakes are spongy. I have changed the discs and pads, bled the brakes and adjusted the rear shoes and there's no difference. Any idea on what else it can be?

Cheers

It will need electronically bleeding using either Forscan or IDS (ford dealer) I'm not sure if other diag equipment can bleed it this way but it's what I'd try first. A normal brake bleed doesn't always get the air out of the ABS units on these cars.

Blimey I didn't know that!! To save on the cash my son was to change the brake fluid next year, for the sake of £40 I'll let Ford do it.
