Changing Instrument panel led color on a mk6 (2007) fiesta

Featured Replies

Hello everyone!

I want to change the color of my instrument color lights (speedometer and tachometer backlights) from green to blue. I know, that they are smd leds for my model and I'm prepared to do the soldering. I wanted to know, can everyone tell me the correct type and size of smd leds used for the speedometer and tachometer, as well as display backlights? I think the ones behind display are 2530 or 2835 (measurements look like 2530, but i know that 2835 are way more used so I'm not sure). As for the little ones behind speedometer and tachometer, I'm pretty clueless. Due to their form it was hard to measure, but I saw someone mention that the 1206smd was used. Although I'm very skeptical of tthat, since that seems to be smaller than the actual smd's in my car.

If you need to know, what type of instrument cluster I have, then here is a pic of a panel just like mine, that already has its backlights changed. https://images.app.goo.gl/bnfZCrBEwapt8Tir6
