Fiesta mk6 1.6 tdci timing belt

Featured Replies

Hi guys my brother in law has just bought a cracking fiesta mk6 1.6 tdci ghia. Its been well maintained and has had a service by ford every year of its life. A lady has had the car from new. There's loads of paper work for the car but the timing belt hasn't been done it's on 70,000 miles. We gonna do the timing belt ourselves and I was just looking for a few tips as never done one on these before. I've tried found a few videos on 1.6 focus but didn't know if it's the same engine. Any advice would be really appreciated.

Cheers

The 1.6 diesel was also put in the focus 👍. This engine was put in a lot of cars including Peugeot, Citroen, Volvo and mini. It is also called 1.6 HDI

Has anyone fitted a timing to fiesta 07 plate 1.6 tdci. I've ordered a workshop manual for but just seeing if anyone has some hint about what needs to Co.e off to get to the belt and the timing marks themselves. Any help is really appreciated
