TC1968 Posted June 21, 2021 Share Posted June 21, 2021 Looking to buy an 18 plate 1.0 eco boost but the one looked at was fine apart from a strange brief droning noise on ignition - narrowed down to a window heater as when switched off no noise - same sort of discharging drone noise for a few seconds after switch off - the dealers tech said it was the motors starting up and switching off & was ‘typical’. Never had a Ford before so would like to ask if this is normal on this Fiesta/model please - car/engine ok otherwise. Thanks for any information. unofix Posted June 21, 2021 Share Posted June 21, 2021 Depends how loud the noise is. Yes it is normal for the heater vent motors to open/close when the ignition is turned on or off.
