Does anyone know whether use of one of these daily for urban driving (short trips here and there 5 miles ect) will over time reduce battery life of car battery, i'm guessing its no different than a sat nav, and we all used to use them and still do, and there was no battery concern, so im guessing it will be fine, but just wanted some views and opinions as im mulling over buying one as my fiesta doesn't have Bluetooth nor is USB slot currently accepting my usb stick with mp3s on.

    Using that won't affect your battery life whatsoever. Your radio amp, blowers, heated seats etc. is what uses all the power.

    Only doing short journeys won't be doing it any favours though.
