I have an 08 Ford fiesta 1.4 zetec petrol. It now struggles going into gear. Is this a clutch or gear problem? Car has done 70,000 miles.

    Probably clutch.  Can you select gears ok with the engine off?

    Well, it's all relative...but given your username I'd say yes... :laugh:  

    Around £350 at a garage as a very rough estimate.

    Going off your struggle with a sump plug, I definitely wouldn't recommend you try dropping your gearbox to change a clutch on the drive 😂

    Yes seems to go into gears OK with engine off
