Fiesta 58 reg Wing Mirrors

Featured Replies

My wife had her car valeting this morning. Now, the wing mirrors don't fold in when locking. I searched the settings menu but can't find how to reset the mirrors. Chris

If you use the manual button inside the car to unfold the mirrors do they not then go back to normal when locking/unlocking the car ?

Thanks for the response. I can use the manual button inside the car to fold the mirrors and then switch off and remotely lock. When I remotely unlock, I have to use the manual button inside the car to unfold the mirrors. The mirrors used to fold when remotely locking and unfold when remotely unlocking.

Hello

is the mirror switch in the middle like in the picture below. If it is you may have to keep pressing it for it to reset itself. If its not that it might be a blown fuse or a wire has come out.

Hope this helps

I hope they didn't go mad with the interior foam cleaner ? Being plastic door panels I've seen valeters spray the heck out the doors, liquid going everywhere and worryingly into electric switches, if you can't suss anything out  i'd look in to checking out the switch for ingress of such liquids.

The wing mirrors folding in on remotely double locking the car function is now working again. On remotely unlocking the car, the wing mirrors fold out again. I can only assume that, while valeting,  some liquid got into the electrics and has eventually evaporated. Thanks to all for the help.
