Ambient door light

Featured Replies

Hi.

My near side door ambient light in the cubby hole is not working, but the door handle one is. If I fiddle with the light strip it will come on again temporarily. Obviously there's a loose connection but I can't see in the cubby hole to see how it's connected to the wiring to check it.

Any ideas how it's connected and how to make that connection good again?

Dave.

There is a plastic "tube" to emit the light from the led.  The plastic should be somewhat similar to the one on the door handle.  Just follow the plastic until you can see the source of the light.  Unfortunately I don't have any clue which cubby hole you are referring to so it's not easy to tell you the recommended action.

Thanks.

At the bottom of the door, storage.

Sorry for the late reply.  You need to open the door panel to check the connection.
