Water collecting in bottom door seal - 2020 ST Line X

Featured Replies

Hey all, granted my car isn’t being used too frequently these days but I’ve noticed after a downpour when I open the drivers door I get which a lot of water coming out of the bottom of the driver door seal neared to the hinge. Holes aren’t blocked and car is level.

its a pretty large amount of water and if I run my finger along the bottom seal I get quite a bit more out. I reckon there’s probably 50-100ml of water that comes out. Nothings leaking into the car but just wondered if this was a “thing” they do? In 27 years of driving I’ve not seen this before.

I had this on my old car and it was a torn speaker cone that was allowing water in through the door. The tear was only 10mm but it was enough.

Certainly worth a look.
