Fiesta mk7 keyless problems

Featured Replies

Hi, hoping someone can help with the issues I’ve got on my Ford Fiesta!

purchased recently a fiesta 58 plate mk7 titanium  as a second run around, got it cheap as the keyless system isn’t working.

theres 2 keys in total with car, previous owner changed antenna in the roof, and paid for the second key to be cut and coded but no avail.

Here’s all the information that might be relevant

power fold mirrors do not work at all, not sure if connected but even when pressing the button inside they don’t fold, but they do adjust using the dial.

get an error for door adjar switch on forscan coming up intermittently

Original key fob only works in emergency position, no low battery warning comes up, battery has been replaced and checked twice

interior light comes on only when door is closed, and goes off when door open, the opposite of normal

“New” programmed key does absolutely nothing.

buttons on either fob do nothing, have to lock/unlock with the metal key.

antenna in roof and under centre console/arm rest replaced

theres about a dozen faults with codes from b10d5 and b10d7 numbers in them.

ive tried every procedure I can find online to “initialise” keys, but none of them seem relevant to a full keyless car, nor work.

only thing i have left to try is a replacement BCM, not sure did this could be the source of electrical issues, or if it’s a waste of money and time?

anyone else had similar issues hey they’ve resolved?

have access to extended forscan with the OBDLINK recommended cable

Small update, went out to the car, switched the two 20amp fuses around that had a key symbol with two others, then switched the two relays around that had the keyless symbol (top right of fuse box behind glove box)

after this, the car was registering a key inside the car, and allowed me to turn on ignition without the key being in emergency postion

I then went around and tried the door switch which worked, then suddenly the hazards started flashing and it stopped working again, entered the car with manual key, and it went back to only working in the emergency position?

not sure if this says more of a BCM/water ingress fault?

all of the fuses in the fuse box have a brown buildup on them? Relays look fine though visually

This is all the DTC’s the car currently has , ignore the airbag and seatbelt tensioner one as they were disconnected during the test
