Ive also noticed when it rains if i plug the central locking back into the GEM that the central locking fails to work all round

Hi Andrew (Yogibear07)

I'm not familiar with the Ford model Loake, is it a special edition Fiesta ?

OK now back to the real problem, when you say you have problems with the drivers door lock, but if you use the passenger side it locks ok, is it that the drivers door looks ok on the central locking system if you put the key in on the passenger side ?

If that is the case then it may be as simple as a defective microswitch in the drivers side door lock.

GEM units can be very iffy when they get any water in them. Check all the plugs/sockets on the GEM and look for signs of water and/or corrosion of the pins.
