You have TAPES !!!!

There is another thread going on at the moment and people are saying CD's are a thing of the past.

Have you checked that the aerial is ok and that the connection to the aerial base is ok. I can't remember the aerial on your model, but some have an active amplifier on the base that can fail.

A few years ago I had 2001 focus. Radio stopped working but cd was fine. I thought it was aerial. After much messing about including accessing aerial connections on the roof it still did not work. I bought a replacement radio/cd player on eBay and it worked fine. So it was an internal fault inside radio. Whilst it is rare for radios to fail it may have happened to yours. I took mine apart to see if anything obvious inside but could not see anything that looked wrong (not surprised)

Whats a tape ? 🙂

sounds like the tuner  has gone

replacement radio sounds the best option to me

Thanks for your input, I'm sure I've checked aerial correctly, and someone else said could be tuner.
