Engine Rebuild (recommendations please)!

Featured Replies

Unfortunately I think the valve stem seals on my Ford Fiesta ST150 (with a 2.0 Duratec engine) have had it. The car is puffing out a white smoke and has a range of associated symptoms.

I am really, really struggling to find anyone that can do this work. I would really value any recommendations if you know of anyone that can do this work.

Best Regards
Tom

PS: I know the costs involved, I know it's going to cost more than the car is worth.

You do realise the pistons don't come out to replace the valve stem seals?

Yes, but with the amount of money involved in doing the VSS's alone it makes sense to do the whole thing at once.

Reason for the pistons and rods upgrade is down to wanting to fit a turbo at some point over the next year.

Ouch that's like 6k worth of work lol.

Finding people to rebuild the engines for far less than £6k is easy, my issue is finding people that will do it using upgraded pistons and rods.

I mean 6k for the rebuild and turbo install

only place i would take a st 150 is jamsport have you tried going on the st onwers forum, they might know a local garage but when it comes to doing that type of work they will either say jamsport, pumabuild, scc performance,  AmD, AET PERFORMACE, etc so either way your going to need to travel to get the car to the location
