Intermittent jolting/juddering on Transit courier

Featured Replies

Hi, I’m new to the forum.

for the last 4 months I’ve had an intermittent problem with my van jolting when I press the accelerator. It only happens when the van is up to temperature and seems to coincide with me driving it a bit harder through the Rev range. There’s a very slight delay when you hit the throttle then a jolt and then it accelerates smoothly. Whenever the fault occurs it’s accompanied with the engine fan being on. There also seems to be a slight judder when you come off the accelerator.  When I turn the van off and on again the fault disappears and there is no juddering or jolting whatsoever. Van drives perfect t again. It’s a 2020 plate 1.5 tdci 100bhp with 2300 miles. Ford planning on dropping the gearbox to check DMF as I finally got it to fault for them. There are no fault codes. Thanks in advance.

There is a bit of a theme going here. Ask the question and never post the answer. Keep asking the same questions and still don't get an answer.

So @wayne1575 i very much doubt you will get answer, but you could be the first to come back when you find out and let everyone know how you fixed it 🤔
