Post Airbag recall instant steering assist failure

Hello ,  I am new here with a headache. Sorry about my distress on arrival.   I bought myself a Galaxy . . 2007 and only just though an NCT. I drove it around 3 hours home and all was well.

I like to do an oil and filter change when I get a new motor , but  not so lively these days  after Covid, so I decided to invest on Ford dealer essential service.   When I went to book online I discovered there was a safety recall on the airbags.  All the more reason I reckoned to get a service done at the same time.   

The dealer was very friendly and all seemed well untilI went to collect it again . . . there was no steering assist and I could barely move the wheel.  Sadly there was around 30 minutes to go before  a BankHoliday Weekend began. I did report it , a chap came out of the showroom , man handled the wheel a couplke of times and drove a couple of yards and told me it was now ok- ''just need time to wake up''.  Sure enough it seemed ok- he said , if I had any further problems to call ''Ford Assist '' as my service meant I had 12 months rescue for free.

I managed about half a mile from one roundabout to the next and as  pulled into the Tesco car park the Power Steering failed again- luckily I was only dong about 10mph.  

I   called the dealer , but they had all left. called Ford rescue, got a grumpy AA  guy who looked under the bonnet after trying to turn the wheel and told me that the re was a problem with my power steering !!!

  He said he would put my car into storage - deliver it to the dealer on Tuesday - today.  I sent an email on the following day explaining why they were getting my Galaxy back and asking them to contact me when they knew the situation.

Nothing yet  . .  what are your thoughts ?   Surely thy must acknowledge that this has been caused through air bag replacement ?   

Have I any power here or am I powerless ?

Any and all thoughts would be much appreciated.
