Hi,

Noticed few days ago a few roads on the Sat Nav were purple along short stretches.

Searched high and low for reason, nothing in the manual, nothing online to explain.

Recently my subscription ended for traffic...certainly no intention of paying £3.50 per month for trash.

Maybe purple Road is something to do with that?

Any ideas folks?

Could well be a result of the basic default traffic service that you get when you don’t use the “superior subscription offering” 

I'm sure it shows planned roadworks in town or road closures because of roadworks that must be on a database somewhere. I've not seen it out of town yet, but I've not came across any roadworks when I have been out of town.

Hey you may just be right mate, I drove through where the purple roads were, expecting to see Prince 🙂 and noticed the remnants of an earlier road closure, so looks like that might be it.

Now my traffic sub has expired, I say praise the Lord for Android auto and Google maps.

Purple line means road closure 

Orange line - busy stretch of road

Red line - very busy stretch of road

Roadworks often have a roadworks symbol

The way the roads are these days the screen will look like a Picasso painting 🙂
