S.Max high level brake light circuit puzzle

Featured Replies

Hi ALL , my partner's 2007 Reg S.max high level brake light has stopped working and is showing on dash as :  'Brake light Bulb fault'. I followed the circuit from brake pedal right to the bulb itself , all OK, but can't find the real cause of NO power getting to the top high end bulb  ?? If I feed it from another circuit it lights up continuously , as I disconnect it , it goes dead . Been told it must be one of the fuses at the passenger side fuse plate. I do not wish to disturb such complicated wiring looms and not find the culprit . Has anyone had same problem please ? Can they kindly point us in the right direction please ? Been told it's not an MOT failure but my partner insists drivers need to see her braking from afar , as a safer way in congested roads .
