Anyone done the gearbox oil on the MK8 ST yet? My car is at 31k miles and I’m wanting to change the gearbox oil. I can’t find anywhere in the owners handbook or online what type of oil it uses. Am I right in saying that the MK7 ST has the same gearbox as the MK8? I’m thinking I’ll just buy some standard fully synthetic 75w80 manual gearbox and fill it up through the filler plug until it starts to pour out. I think I read somewhere it takes 1.7 litres of oil for the MK7 gearbox.
