ANY IDEAS PLEASE ALSO CANT FIND FLASHER UNIT.

Hi there your probably find the connections are dodgy , a bad earth on the side , I suspect you have but give the bulb a good wiggle about in the holder and see if It springs into life , I'm pretty sure if the n/SR indicator flashes quick then a earth issue on that side .

NEAR SIDE INDICATOR NOT FLASHING

Hello Phil welcome to the Ford Owners Club 👍

There is no flasher unit as such, things like the indicators are controlled by the BCM (body control module) or on slightly older vehicles by the GEM (generic electronic module). You will find the BCM as part of the fusebox normally fitted behind the glovebox.

On a number of models the BCM is prone to getting wet and the connectors and pins corrode leading to random faults. Check the plugs on the BCM, look for signs of water and any greenish corrosion.

Hope it is just a plug in the bcm needs a twiddle to improve connection. On my brothers 2008 focus the wipers stopped working and it seemed to be in the bcm. I ended up rewiring the wipers to bypass the bcm. This meant wipers were single speed with a dash mounted toggle switch and the wipers were not self parking. Not brilliant but at least the car could used. If it comes to it your indicators could be rewired to bypass bcm and use a traditional flasher. It’s what I would do if the only alternative is new bcm.  I had not realised how complicated these cars have got until working on my brothers focus, eg the clicking of the indicators was not the flasher relay clicking, it is a small loudspeaker built into the instrument cluster.

Actually thinking about it, making hazard lights functional would be a bit more complicated than just getting indicators working if bypassing bcm
