Hi, had trouble starting my fiesta just now, 2016, done 34000 miles. Might be battery  but no hint of a problem before. I did get it started but there was a slight whirring sound which is not normally there. I started and stopped the engine a couple more times and the whirring sound stated a few seconds after restarting each time. Any ideas? Thanks. Sarah

    Hi, 1.25 zetec. I think it must be the battery has just given up. It maybe the original one. The very slight whirring sound i hear goes away when i depress the clutch pedal, doh! Before i was just sitting listening, without doing anything!!
