Is there another towbar fuse on MkIV Galaxy?

Featured Replies

Hi - I have a 2020 MkIV Galaxy with the factory fitted detachable towbar and electrics. Due to some dodgy wiring in my caravan, the trailer ignition feed (pin 10 of the 13 pin) got shorted to ground, so when I plugged it in, it blew something, and now there is no voltage on either the trailer permanent (pin 9) or ignition (pin 10) feeds - although all the other trailer lights etc. are still working.

The manual only shows one 40A fuse for the trailer tow module - but I've checked this and it's OK. Just wondering if anyone knows of any other fuses that may power the trailer tow module?  Alternatively has it fried something in the trailer module? Seems incredibly non-robust if an external wiring fault would damage the module.

Alternatively does anyone know the location of the trailer tow module ? Looks like its behind trim on the left side of the boot, but not near the removable panel - any ideas how to get to it?
