Ford Focus MK2 Zetec Radio Failure

Featured Replies

Hi Folks,

I own a 2009 Ford focus and in early April I switched out the standard radio head unit (Ford 600CD) with this bluetooth screen one I found on amazon linked here: https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B07ZD1ZF9C/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 (wouldn't recommend btw)

It worked for a while but had some issues such as turning off randomly while driving when it still had power, i.e the buttons on it were still lit. So I decided to put the old standard radio back in but upon plugging it all back in it wouldn't show any sign of life, figuring that head unit is just dead I decided to put the meh amazon one back in for the time being however upon doing this the speakers, front and rear no longer work. The radio boots up fine and connects to my phone but no sound out of the speakers.

I've checked Fuse 108 and its fine, is there any other fuses I can check or is it probably a wiring issue? The radio was reinstalled the second time in the exact same manner as it was in April when I did it first,

Thanks in advance for any reponses!

Phil
