Rough idle when cold

Featured Replies

Hello,

I bought a fiesta mk7 1.25 2009 about 2 weeks ago, and since i've bought it, when the car is completly cold the rpm fluctuates alot, going from 800-1800 rpm. The car didn't even want to idle last night, and i had to press the gas to keep it alive, and i have some minor misfires. Here's a video:

Im thinking about a intake leak, or the idle sensor. (Im going to service it next month, with new oil, filters, plugs).

Can anyone give me a lead?

Thanks!

looks like you have at least one vacuum leak, as in your video thats a very high idle

That's what i thought, altough my idle comes down when warm. But my throttle is very whooshy, i hear alot of suction when pressing the gas

I've fixed about 90% of it with new plugs and a service! Pretty sure it had the original plugs (it had ford original plugs on it, and it never has been serviced at a dealer), they were all black and some of them were missing some parts already. My car has 160k km on it! Now its much better, it doesn't misfire and the fuel economy has increased!
