Why is my cluster like this?

Featured Replies

I was wondering since every fiesta mk6 zs ive seen has the instrument cluster that shows the l/100 and temperature outside. Why does mine fiesta has this cluster. Is it changed? Did they come in both versions? Thanks in Advance.

It may be different spec's. This pic' shows 2012 model which is completely different.

Prefer your type with analogue gauges.

I notice you are not in the UK. Looking at the picture of your dashboard and the one by @Theshed they are from two diffrent versions of a Fiesta.

This is an age old problem with the Fiesta when it comes to what Mk it is. At the moment here in the UK we are on the MK8 just about to get the MK8.5. In europe you also will be getting the new model but it will be the Mk7 (or possibly Mk7.5).

So back to your instrument cluster, your photo is of the model before the one in the photo shown above. Looking on line at instrument clusters you need to know the exact month and year so that you are comparing IC's from the same model.

No. Most countries refer to what we call a Mk 7 as a Mk 6 (the whole car). What we call a Mk 6 they normally refer to as a Mk 5.

Originally the whole world was in step up to the Mk 4. When that car was very extensively facelifted the UK referred to it as a Mk 5, everywhere else carried on calling it a Mk 4 facelift. So when the Mk 5 came out in 2002 the UK called it a Mk 6, and the same when the Mk 6 came out in 2008, the UK called it the Mk 7. Likewise when the latest generation arrived in 2017 it was the Mk 8 in the UK, but Mk 7 to most of the rest of the world.

All very confusing, which is why it's best not to rely on that when ordering parts, although people use it when chatting on forums like this. Whoever decided to call the Mk 4 facelift a Mk 5 has a lot to answer for imo, it's caused confusion ever since!😀
