Hi There!

I am Jamie and I am new here, I drive a very lightly modified 2006 Ford Fiesta Zetec Climate in Moondust Silver. Previously I owned a 53 plate LX which was my first car, I loved it so much that I had to get another one! Please see images of both below 🙂

I am interested in both fiestas and old escorts. I like to learn about modifications and tips/tricks.

Thank you for reading my intro!

Jamie

Hi Jamie,

Your very welcome to the forums, your fiesta looks great; very nice and clean modification's

Ive been on here twelve years now; I have a MK2.5 focus which I spent 14k euro in modifications biggest one out of the list being a 4.5k fully aftermarket JL audio sound system with a self calibrating pioneer double din head-unit, 10" roof monitor and TV tuner, creating a load of guides in the process.

I'm currently working on a purchase list with a spend limit of 2k for my new project which is a Hyundai ix20 which is going to be edit now to 3k for modifications but all subtle, just bringing it up to a standard which i became used to in my focus,

I'll be modifing it much like your fiesta mainly clean tidy mod's, currently gathering all parts in preparation for next spring when the weather is good again; I'll take a week off work and install everything.

All said; I have a few suggestions for your fiesta which you might like;

Have you considered fitting a double din head-unit with aftermarket revers camera ? You could then maybe consider de-wiper of the rear window,

There used to be places selling a colour coded cap which fits over the boot lock key hole; assuming you mainly use the fob,

Also you might like the idea of fitting a Sparco tow strap to the inside of the boot panel; I fitted one to my focus; looks good in my opinion. and it just so happens that it helps the kids reach the boot to close it back when they were short in height and getting there school bag out at the school gates,

An additional interior boot light fitted to the opposite side of the boot interior is also a nice modification/enhancement; route cable up and over inside the boot seal,

Front footwell lighting and illuminated ignition ring are another very useful modification; and I highly recommend these silicon T10 bulb for footwell lighting there light spread is very consistent no variations and not blinding;

Some frosted glass style ford decals for the side wing mirror glass also looks great in my opinion and they last forever; mine are on there 12 years now,

Some Osram silver indicator bulbs for the front headlights; there a great enhancement; I also recommend some Cree LED reverse light bulbs if you haven't already fitted, nice 6000k light.

Finally then; as you grow to enjoy this forum you might like to add a "Fordownersclub" decal to the bottom of your rear passenger door window, it's a nice location for a small ruler sized strip decal 👍🏻

Talk soon, if you need any further details on anything feel free to ask; I'm on here daily for the past twelve years, from cars to house enhancements 😅

If quoting me on this one; please just respond and ill see it as the quote on this particular post would be quite large thanks.
