66 plate Ford Fiesta heating problem

Featured Replies

Hi

I have a 66 plate fiesta and the heating only works when idling. Blows out cold air when driving.

The heating level on the dashboard doesn’t go up when driving but when stuck in traffic it starts to increase the dials.

thanks

Agreed. Always the first thing to look at when the temperature gauge is reading low. Replacing it will pay for itself in a single tankful of fuel and at this time of year you will be very glad you did.

Thanks. Yeah I was thinking the thermostat valve but the garage has said they don’t know and will have to go through all which will cost a lot so want to try and work it out myself then tell them what needs to be done

They want to turn you inside out. Risk buying one and fitting it yourself. I did mine on a Ka years ago and it took me about half an hour.
