Led bulbs

Featured Replies

Has any one out ther know if you need a specialist relay for led indicators as I have fitted them and the are flashing like I have bulb out .

Also it come up on the screen as a warning but all are working just to fast help wood be appreciated

Thanks

Your car has a Canbus system that has detected the LED bulbs and it doesn't like them. Fitting a suitable series resistor might work but  if the car is not made for them LED bulbs are rarely plug and play.

Hi Matty, you need to fit a ballast resistor across the LED to create a load equal to that of the original lamp.

Just do a search on eBay for LED ballast resistor and find one that matches your original bulb

Similar thing happened on my Merc, went out to it the next day and it had 'learnt' I had LEDs 🤷‍♂️ very peculiar.

You could use the Phillips silver turn signal lamps, they are not LED but they get rid of the fried egg look.

I have a pal called Andy, he owns https://www.facebook.com/hnasupplies/ and his LED lamps will be straight plug and play, they have built in canbus resistors. I can personally vouch for them, as can many members of my Mk5 Mondeo FB group.
