radio not coming on

Hi, new here 😁 my wife recently got a 2016 1.0 Ecoboost, Titanium, we seem to be having problems switching the radio on ! the day I bought it, it took me quite a while to sus it out 😬 anyhow, I managed to get some radio stations, I think it was on DAB, so on Saturday I put it onto FM, tuned a few stations into the preset - 1,2,3,4,5 etc, and all was good, but firstly, I discovered that when I turn the ignition / engine off, the radio stays on, even when I lock the car ! so I had to switch it off at the on/off button, but when I turn on ignition, radio doesn't come on, and have to manually press the on/off button, then it'll come on.

But today, it isnt coming on at all ? is there something I need to do/doing wrong ?

    The radio should go off when you open the driver's door. It will then come back on when you turn on ignition.

    Is the interior light behaving correctly with the door opening/closing?

    When I first managd to get radio going, it went off when I opened drivers door !

    What does the interior light have to do with it ?

    The interior light is using the same door sensor the radio will use to switch off.
