ford fiesta loss of power limp mode and short journeys

Featured Replies

Hi all my ford fiesta 1.4 2007 TDCi on 50.000 miles is being a pain and i have only had it a week. it suddenly kept stuttering in crawling traffic in town last week. it needs a service but that wasn.t why it did it. the powertrain symbol came up and a few other lights aswell. just about got it back home not used it again as yet. been getting info on this damn DPF. and also the fact diesels are not good short journey cars are they grrrrrrrr. so what do i do here. service it and hope for the best and try give it a blow through but i.m at least 10 miles from a motorway so how can i get it there without the same thing happening again and being stuck and not able get back.  any ideas anyone ? ?

How do you know it's the DPF? Have you got the fault code that's been logged? You're just playing guessing games without it.
