Mk4 Focus Gear Lever Vibration

Featured Replies

Hello,

my 68 plate 1.0 ecoboost mk4 focus has an annoying but slight rattle/vibration in the gear lever when accelerating moderately/hard across most of the gears but more noticeable in 3rd & 5th. I’ve also got an annoying slight squeak when shifting 3 to 4 too. Has anyone else encountered this and if so, was there a fix? I raised this with Ford whilst still (just about) under warranty but it’s apparently ‘within Ford tolerances’ and the ‘fault couldn’t be appreciated’.

Grateful for any pointers.

Thank you.
