Wrench Light Start up struggles (help)

Featured Replies

For the past 6 months or so I've had recurring wrench light along with the engine malfunction warning come on when starting up. This is weird because its not every time it comes and goes. It has worsen recently as it feels without giving some revs it wont turn over properly or at least without struggle. last winter I had a problem where it would just click and not turn over at all. Yet the car when turned over would drive perfectly fine after a restart although I notice the mileage to zero counter is defiantly not right or somewhat off. I do not have reader to scan codes etc. Im looking for others with similar problems or shall i just have done with it and take it to local garage before winter hits and problems worsen.

I would invest in a code reader. Like the modified Ford one from tunnel rat with the extra switch. About twenty quid. Forscan software is free for windows and about 6 quid for Apple/android versions. A garage would charge more for one check of the codes
